SSET is a program intended for students who have experienced significant traumatic experiences and are suffering from symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder.
SSET is designed to help schools that do not have access to school-based clinicians. The program is delivered by nonclinical personnel.
SSET covers skill-building techniques that help:
• reduce negative thinking,
• promote positive behaviors,
• improve social skills,
• increase pleasant activities, and
• decrease avoidance of difficult situations
SSET Addresses:
•anxiety and nervousness
•withdrawal and isolation
•low mood
•acting out in school
•impulsive or risky behavior

Morgan is a Health Educator for the Seaway Valley Prevention Council. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from SUNY Potsdam. Outside of work, Morgan enjoys taking road trips and spending her time with her family and friends.
