Bill comes to Seaway Valley Prevention Council with a background in multi-site management and sales training after attending Jefferson Community College for Business Administration and is currently a psychology major with Southern New Hampshire University. Having first-hand life experience with addiction and being a person in recovery, working at The Valley Recovery Center is the place he feels he can have the most impact on the community. Bill enjoys being outside when he’s not working playing golf and enjoying the best the north country has to offer on the water.
Sharon is the Programming Coordinator for The Valley Recovery Center. Sharon works with members of the center to develop groups and programming. Sharon is also a Recovery Coach for the center. Sharon has several years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and relaxing on the river.
Mark is a Recovery Coach with The Valley Recovery Center. Mark identifies as being a person in recovery and uses his life skills and education to help others impacted by substance use disorder. Mark facilitates a Music in Recovery group at the Valley Recovery Center to empower others. Mark is also a full-time student at SUNY Canton in the Applied Psychology Program. In his spare time, Mark enjoys fitness activities and playing guitar.
Jade is a Recovery Coach with The Valley Recovery Center. Jade has an associate’s degree in Information Technology and is currently in the process of starting classes to get her CASAC-T. Jade is currently in recovery and uses her own personal experiences with addiction to help others live and enjoy life in recovery as well. In her spare time, Jade likes to spend time with her family, friends, and her dogs Aria and Bella She also enjoys playing sports and being outside in the sunshine.
Laurel is a Recovery Coach with Seaway Valley Prevention Council at St. Lawrence County Addiction Services. Laurel identifies as being in recovery herself and has a passion for empowering others to reignite their inner passions for life. Laurel looks to empower others to create their path to self-love and recovery.
Jessii is a Recovery Coach at the Canton Methadone Clinic and is a certified Family Peer Advocate. Jessii has a background in working with individuals with Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders. Being both in recovery herself and being impacted by loved ones’ substance use, Jessii has been extremely passionate about giving hope to others. Jessii’s goal is to minimize the stigma surrounding Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders as much as possible. When Jessii is not working, she can be found reading, riding her motorcycle, playing video games, or spending time with her daughter, husband, and pet fish, Tinkerbell.
Fred is the Harm Reduction and Transportation Specialist for SVPC. He works at St. Lawrence County Addiction Services in Canton. Fred has a background in human services, a passion to help individuals reach their goals and has personal experience involving loved-ones who have been affected by substance use disorder. In his spare time, Fred most enjoys spending time with his family and traveling!
